The two pictures below were taken in the Centre François Baclesse chemotherapy preparation unit. The technician is protected by a surgical coat, a cap, a mask and gloves. He/she works entirely under the laminar flow hood which permanently extracts air into the hood.
On the picture on the right, the room atmosphere is superpressurised with filters providing an almost germ-free air. The technician on the right prepares all the necessary products for chemotherapy preparation and recalculates dosages and dilutions.
Used flasks are regularly taken out of the hood thus enabling permanent control of the total used dose of any product (which should be the sum of all preparations).
