Lyell Syndrome

Lyell syndrome involves large generalised epidermolysis which, after a phase of voluminous blisters, leads to extensive erosions.

The plasmatic loss and the infectious risk necessitate major rehabilitation as for major burns.

Most often, it is a toxic allergic reaction to a drug (sulfanilamide, antibiotics, antiepileptic drugs or anticancer drugs), however, spontaneous autoimmune cases have been recorded.
